This place is delicious and has good portions. My favorites are the beef skewer, Greek salad, garlic dip, chicken shawarma. They give you a lot of rice if you get a plate so I usually get a la carte. Hummus is good, but better if you add garlic dip and mix. French fries are not worth getting but everything else here has been good.

I ordered the beef kabob with a Caesar Salad and fries for takeout. The online ordering thru DoorDash was seamless, and my meal was ready exactly at the promised time. The beef kabob was cooked to a perfect medium rare and bursting with flavor, perfectly complemented by the crisp Caesar Salad and golden fries. The attention to detail in both the preparation and the timely service made this takeout experience a standout. The only issue I ran into was that I got a tzaskiki instead of a garlic sauce. John's Kabob has definitely earned a spot in my regular rotation for quick, delicious meals.

We recently ordered dinner takeout: 6-10 person catering and 1 order of fries and the food was delicious! Generous portions of rice, hummus, salad, and pita bread. The rice is sooo good. Still one of the best I've tasted at any Mediterranean restaurant. Our catering order came with 12 skewers. We chose beef and chicken. Each skewer had sliced lemon and grilled bell peppers. Catering also came with garlic sauce and a choice of greek or caesar salad. We chose the greek salad and asked for feta cheese on the side. The salad dressing also came on the side. Everything was fresh and they had our food ready about 1 hour after we called in to order. Friendly service. Still highly recommend John's Kabob. A hidden gem for local Mediterranean food!

We were craving Mediterranean food last Saturday so we ordered the food at John's Kabob on their website for take-out. John's Kabob is located on Atlantic Blvd and El Mercado Ave. in Monterey Park. We ordered the following items: -Combo plate (beef, kafta, rice & hummus) $18.99 -Beef Kabob Plate with fries & hummus $18.99 -Shrimp Kabob plate with fries & veggies $15.99 -Sauteed Shrimp Plate with fries & hummus $14.99 -Pita bread 3 pcs side order $3.99 I picked up the food before 5 p.m. so there was no one inside. All the kabob tasted flavorful and I especially liked the Sauteed Shrimp plate and combo plate. The Pita bread tasted so good with Hummus. We would order their kabob again.

In love with their garlic spread and fluffy buttery rice. My only complaint is that the beef was cooked medium well. I'll ask if they can cook it medium rare next time. Beef plate comes with 2 skewers and 2 sides. (7/10) I'd recommend ordering ahead of time online (20-30 mins) before arriving. There is some indoor seating and plenty of street parking available.

I try and stop by this place about at least once a week and sometimes twice a week. I like getting the Salmon plate with Salad a vegetable, I usually will stop here around 2:00pm after the lunch crowd is gone, but this place is quite busy. The parking is limited, but the great tasting food makes up for this. They have a great selection. There is indoor dining and outdoors as well. This place also does catering. I highly recommend this place to others

We ordered take out and it fulfilled our Mediterranean food craving. We'd order again! I had the shrimp plate. It was delicious and definitely hit the spot! My partner agrees that it was the better choice. It came with garlic sauce and I had hummus and greek salad as sides. They were good and I kept the leftover dips and enjoyed them the next day. My partner had the chicken shawarma. I think the taste was underwhelming, so I wouldn't recommend it. He had a Caesar salad as a side and it was good -- the croutons were bomb! We had gyros fries and were so excited. The gyro was super tender, but was under-seasoned. The fries combo was filling though and we enjoyed the flavors that were there. So, some tasted off and some tasted great. Overall it was a good dinner.
